How
much does it cost to fix the rust control system?
Florida Rust, LLC
can service your irrigation rust control system onsite or at our
facility. On site service is $90.00 an hour plus parts. At our facility
it is $50.00 an hour plus parts.
*These prices are subject to
change without notice.
How
does the system work?
The rust control system is
attached to your irrigation system. When your well turns on to irrigate
our pump injects rust preventative into the irrigation water, which
neutralizes iron in the water.
When
is the existing rust removed?
On residential properties,
the removal of rust may be performed the same day or scheduled within a
month of initial installation date. This is dependant on the size of
the irrigation system.
How
soon after the rust control system is installed will I notice results?
After the clean up is performed.
What
is PPM?
PPM, or parts per million,
is a way of expressing very dilute concentrations of substances. Just
as per cent means out of a hundred, so ppm means out of a million. One
ppm is equivalent to 1 milligram of iron per liter of water (mg/l).
Can
my ppm change?
Yes, parts per million can
change on a well. This can happen for a number of reasons. For
example, construction or increased traffic near a well may cause a
change, as well as drought or flooding.
